What Can HR Smart Offer?

If your Employee Documentation and employee policies and procedures are out-of-date, they could be harming your business more than protecting it. Keeping accurate HR records isn’t just to ensure that your business is abiding by General Data Protection Regulations – they can help you to effectively manage employee related risks and issues from recruitment, employee training, resource planning, employee development and any disciplinary issues that may arise too.

HR Smart believes in placing your people, performance and profit first. If you look after the people that work for you, you’ll likely find that their levels of performance improve, leading to increased profits and business success. As every business has its own unique challenges to face, managing your human resources can be difficult – especially if you aren’t practised in UK employment law or up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements.

This is why we are here to help –our comprehensive HR documentation services can ensure that your business abides by all aspects of employment law and we are able to spot areas of improvement you can make within the company’s structure. This is why we’re HR Smart!

We pride ourselves in producing bespoke documents, tailored to your business. If you already have these documents in place but are concerned that they are either out of date or no longer relevant to your business, we can review those for you free of charge and inform you if any changes are needed.

Contracts of Employment & Employment Policies

Whether you employ one person or have a large team of employees, you must provide each employee with a written statement of their terms and conditions of employment as per the Employment Rights Act 1996. This Act also outlines the minimum content that must be included such as:

  • Pay and Remuneration
  • Notice
  • Holiday Entitlements
  • Pension
  • Collective Arrangements

Not only is a contract of employment a legal requirement, but it also demonstrates to your employees that you are interested in their rights, you are a positive and proactive employer and you want to set a good example going forward.

We can write your employment policy document in line with current UK employment legislation, reduce your employee risks and match your Company’s needs as part of our package. As a minimum, you will need a Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure, but you may wish to think about an Absence and Leave Policy and a Conduct Policy if you have 5 or more employees. Once you get beyond 10 employees, you may want to consider issuing an employee handbook to combine all of your policies and procedures into one cohesive reference document.

How Much Will It Cost?

As with all our HR Services, we work on a fixed fee basis. Our prices are dependent on the level of work required, number of contract variations and if you require us to personalise the documents for each employee and/or to come along onsite to discuss these with your employees.
