If you already have these documents in place but are concerned that they are either out of date or no longer relevant to your business, we can review those for you free of charge and inform you if changes are needed.
Contracts Of Employment
Whether you employ one person or have a large team of employees, you must provide each employee with a written statement of their terms and conditions of employment as per the Employment Rights Act 1996. This Act also outlines the minimum content that must be included such as:
- Pay and Remuneration.
- Holiday Entitlements.
- Collective Arrangements.
Not only is contract of employment a legal requirement, it also demonstrates to your employees that you are interested in their rights, you are a positive and proactive employer, and you want to set a good example going forward.
We can write your employment policy document in line with current legislation, best practice and matching your needs as part of our package to produce your contract. As a minimum, you will need Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures but you may wish to think about an Absence and Leave Policy and a Conduct Policy if you have between 5 and 10 employees. Once you get beyond 10 employees, you may want to consider issuing an employee handbook to combine all the policies and additional clauses into one cohesive reference document.
Examples of additional clauses can include:
- Detailed holiday policies, such as carrying over holiday from one year to the next.
- Data Protection and Confidentiality.
- Intellectual Property and Copyrights.
- Key holding.
- Cash handling.
- Quality of work and snagging.
- Short term working.
Once we have produced your documentation for you, we will review it annually against any changes or future changes in legislation, so that it remains up to date and legally compliant.
How Much Will It Cost?
As with all our HR Services, we work on a fixed fee basis. Our prices are dependent on the level of work required, number of contract variations and if you require us to personalise the documents for each employee and/or to come along onsite to discuss these with your employees.
